Services:
The Adams County Health Department Dental Clinic provides dental care to eligible children ages 2 - 20 and eligible adults in Adams County.
Written parental consent is required for all children needing treatment.
Care is provided by 6 dentists, a hygienist and many dental assistants.
Basic services include exams, cleanings, fluoride treatment, sealants, x-rays, fillings and extractions.
To use the services of the clinic, you must meet financial criteria.
A Medicaid card or proof of income is required after the first visit.
Income verification is renewed every 6 months.
Minimal fees are charged for non-public aid clients.
Non-public aid families with children may receive assistance with fees through a limited Adams County Health Department grant.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling the clinic at 217-222-8440.
All appointments must be cancelled 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time.
Appointments not cancelled within 24 hours may result in suspension from the clinic for one year.
