What is your review of the health department?
- The Orangeburg County Public Health Department could make great strides to have community advances and improve the well-being of the population. Unfortunately, their lack of community level outreach has allowed many to be uninsured. There are limited to no improvements of rebuilding an infrastructure for young children and vulnerable adults alike.
What type of documentation do I need to apply for services?
- There are far greater things that the public health department could do other than hold birth and death certificates. They could have documentations of infographics, brochures for better maternal care and outcome, and ensuring to advocate for the communities. The current MUSC hospital should not be responsible for conducting or being the only stakeholder in contributing to others well-being. People are either moving out or getting better care from elsewhere. The Public Health Department of Orangeburg could do so much improvements to support those are in need.
